******A little bit of health concerns this week in the house....Mom is back in the hospital, pneumonia again.  She is doing better already.  Jimmy, who resides at college at WVU, was sick this week too.  He went to the ER yesterday and was diagnosed with Influenza.  Today was better and even though he missed a big exam last night, he has worked it out with his teacher to take it on Friday.  I want to run to West Virginia to make him some soup, but the 4 hr drive made it more difficult with mom being sick too.  Luckily Jimmy handled this one on his own.  It didn't stop him from calling me and telling me he was sick and wanting to know what to do.  I guess we are always mommies!  Love it.  Hope all are healthy.

So far we have lost a total of 5.8 lbs this week (gained 1.6 lbs) for a total of 442.9 lbs in 39 weeks!

*********It's official.  Kevin and I have struggled trying to loose weight ourselves, so Saturday we are going to our first weight loss meeting.  We have had great success in the past at WW but didn't stick to the meetings.  I do really believe that the meetings make a difference.  I know everything has changed since going a few years ago so I am anxious to learn the new way!  I will keep you posted.  I have lost 2.5 inches on my waist and 1.5 inches on my hips!  Pants are starting to fall off of me!  YEAH!  For the first time friends at work are noticing my weight change.  It only motivates me more.  The support of all my WWI group members and the accountability I have to all of you, has been what has kept me motivated.  Thanks to all.

*********This week has been busy.  Worked every night since Saturday (12 hr shifts) and have to work tonight at 11pm.  I will look forward to the next 9 days off and I promised myself I am going to quilt up a storm.  I have several quilts I need to finish! 

Quilt Cookies

My friend Eileen S. gave me this wonderful gift!  She made cookies to match my quilt.  Last year I taught a quilting class to several to my fellow RN coworkers.  I choose to teach a sampler quilt, one that I had made a few years back.  Below is my quilt I made and used as a demonstration during the class.  Her thank you to me was making these wonderful cookies, one to match each square!  I was overwhelmed with surprise and awe at this amazing gift.  Such talent!  I was afraid to eat them they were so pretty but when I did they were as good as they looked!  Maybe now she needs to TEACH ME cookie decorating!
