Missing in Action

My Mom, Aunt Beth and Aunt Grier
Sisters

Sorry for not posting in the last week....first I worked nights all weekend and since then I have been helping my mom who is in the hospital.  She is 69 years old and turns 70 this summer.  She is in the hospital AGAIN for pneumonia and her first heart attack.  She has COPD from 40 years of smoking and she requires oxygen 24/7.  I wanted to let everybody know has much she means to me.  She is a special woman....raised me, my brother and sister by herself since I was 7 years old.  She taught me everything I know about sewing and quilting.  She is an amazing talented lady!  It is scary how much we look alike too!  SCARY!!  He sisters are amazing too!  I am very close to all my relatives since we all live in the Washington DC vicinity.  As a matter of fact, all my Aunts are talented beyond belief!  I think I get it from all three of them not to mention from my MiMi (their mom) who passed away a year ago!

So I just wanted to say that about my mom and let everyone know I am not blogging for a reason...busy and not having time to sew or create lately.  Hope everyone is healthy, happy and being creative in many ways!  Have a great week and I hope to catch up with everything next week.

I hope your mom has a quick recovery. Being a nurse, I'm sure you know how to give her the extra care she might need. We will be here whenever you can get back to blogging.

They look like a fun group of ladies- I bet that you have spent some nice time together even with your mom not well.
I hope that she is soon feeling much better . I also hope that you are recovering from your health issues and soon back to feeling your usual self.

I'm sending good thoughts and prayers to you and your mom. The quilting and blogging can wait, you've got more important things to care about right now. We'll be here when you return.

Thanks everyone! Today she was so confused she saw ducks on her bed...but atleast she is breathing on her own this time and not on a vent. Thanks for everyone's prayers. When it rains it pours!

Treasure every single minute you have with her. You will never regret it. My mom was a talented lady too and taught me so much about sewing. She never did quilt but she would be so proud of the things I have made. Wish I had her here to share them with.

My daughter Stephanie is so special to me; I am online wirelessly in the hospital (pretty cool) waiting to be transferred for an angiogram tomorrow. She worked last night and hopefully she’s sleeping now. Steph and I love to be together, play and create together…such a special bond of love and friendship.
I don’t know much about blogs but I wanted you all to know just how wonderful Stephanie is to me and others.
Suzanne, Steph’s Mom
