I am so proud of my son Paul who is a student at the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore MD.  He is a Freshman and taking a class called EMAC (Electronic Media and Culture).  I have to laugh that he choose to use buttons to do his stop motion project.  There are 475 pictures put together into a video that lasts only 60 seconds!  Guess he gets some of his talent and sense of humor from his mother.  Buttons are not mine by the way.  Wonder where he got all these buttons at college!  LOL

Baby quilt for Melissa

This is a quilt I made for my friend Melissa and her little guy.  It is done, but unfortunately I forgot to take a pic of the finished product.  This was fun to make.  I matched the green to her bed linens she picked for the crib.  Here we are when I gave it to her at her shower!

"Green" Reusable Snack Bags

Mom and I are making "green" reusable bags for your lunches! They are lined with waterproof nylon fabric that wipe out easily. They are washable and reusable (air dry not for dryer use).  Velcro lines the top to seal the bag but we placed an easy pull tab above the velcro to make it easy to open. There are two sizes. Large and small. Head over to our etsy shop to see the different fabrics.  This one by MODA by Lila Tueller called Woodland Bloom.

I won a giveaway!

Here is the wonderful fabric and vintage rick rack that I won from Diane's first give away.  She just started her blog and is looking for more visitors to share her stories.  Head over to her blog and shout out a hello!  Thanks Diane, love the stash and the nice card you sent along with it!

My Dress from 1974

My mom just brought me one of my old dresses I wore.  This one she made for me when I was 13 years old.  Unfortunately only one boob would fit into this now!!!   LOL  Anyway, should I cut it up and make something out of it?  I think so.  Hmmm....what to make?

Journals and Cell phone Totes

This is my new Etsy shop banner.  We have a new blog to go along with it!  I am doing this one with my mom.  She is retired and has lots of time to create things to sell.  Please visit and follow us so more people can find us!  Thanks!

This idea came from the making of a special order from a friend at work. She wanted matching horse journals to log her and her daughter's riding lessons. She also requested a matching cell phone case for her daughter. Here is what I came up with. The journal cover can be easily removed and the book can be replaced when it gets full because it is a simple Composition Book. There is a slot for a pen on the inside cover. The quilting is done with a double needed.

This is her daughter on their horse with her ribbons!

Red Letter Day by Lizzy House

I absolutely love this line!  I just had to have all of it.  Take a look at this wonderful fabric.  My favorite is the ugly duckling.  Now to decide what to make and for whom!  Love colors are wonderful.

Hope everyone has a great weekend, this morning Matt (my 14 year old) gets his wisdom teeth out. :(
Even though I am a nurse, I am always nervous when someone I love has to have surgery.  We lost a friend last month when he died during oral surgery at the dentist office.  He never woke up from anesthesia.  He had many health problems and was in his 50's but it still scares you.  Matt has never had anesthesia.  In December, my middle son Paul is getting his out as well when he is home on Christmas break from college.  Anyway, I will be missing in action this weekend.  Have a great one everyone!
UPDATE:  We are home from the oral surgeon and Matt is groggy but fine.  He is sleeping it off now with Vicodan.  Now we wait to see if he gets nauseated from the pain medicine like his mom.

Designer Car Trash Bag

Check out all our car trash bags in our ETSY SHOP!

Take a look at this wonderful trash can I made for my car!  My car is white with black interior.  I made this trash can to coordinate with my interior.  It hangs gently from the center console/shifter.  It could probably hang off the back of a seat behind a head rest.

Halloween Party at work

Well, as everyone knows...I am a NICU (Neonatal Intensive CareUnit) Register Nurse at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore Maryland.  Here is a picture of us at work Halloween night.  I am in the middle.  Can you see my autographed Kaffee Faccett bag on the left of the pic?   ;)

I am the charge nurse and have about 21 nurses to take care of about 45 babies.  We work hard but play hard, as you can see.  We were having fun, eating tons of great food.  I just wanted to share with you an insight to why I don't post everyday!  I work 12 hour night shifts on the weekends (Sat/Sun/Mon).  You will most likely not see me during those crazy days in a row.
